ETBU SELF-REGISTRATION INFORMATION
If you have completed 45+ hours and are not on probation, you may self-register on your scheduled days. Remember, it is your responsibility to be sure that you are taking the correct courses at the correct times.
Before attempting to register:
1. Check your online degree audit
2. Check the 8-semester plan on the website for your major.
3. Determine which courses you need to take this summer and fall.
4. Check the general education requirements for graduation on page 36 of the online catalog. Pay attention to all requirements, including the JQE, chapel, GPA, etc.
5. Follow the instructions below.
The following is information you will need to self-register:
1. Go to CampusConnect at http://register.etbu.edu/. Click the "Login" tab. The screen that follows asks for your Student ID (you may also use your SSN here), and your PIN (this is the randomly generated PIN you received via Tigermail when you first applied to the university).
2. Under the “Registration” menu you should see “Add/Drop” as a possible option; select Add/Drop.
3. After clicking Add/Drop, select the department courses for which you want to register. If you receive a message saying you have a hold on your record you will have to contact the Business Office and clear the hold before you can register.
4. This will bring up a list of all courses for that term for that department. Click the “add” button to add the course. If you are registering for a course with a lab, you must add the lab first then the lecture. On-line courses will show “on-line” in the location column.
5. Continue this process until you have the desired schedule. If you need to make changes you can click the “drop” button on the schedule that you created at the top of the page and you will drop the course. You cannot drop all courses—the Registrar must drop the last remaining course if that is your desire. Do not register for more than 18 hours in a given term and do not forget to add Chapel if you need it.
6. If a course is listed as a “permission” course, you must have the instructor’s signature on a registration card and the Registrar will add the course for you.
7. If you get an edit that says you do not have the necessary pre-requisite for the course you are trying to add, you must get the Department Chair for that department to sign a card and have the Registrar add it to your schedule.
8. If a course is closed, you can only be added to the course by getting the Dean of that School to sign a Drop/Add card permitting the Registrar's Office to “force” you into the course.
9. If you have a time conflict on your schedule you should get an error message that tells you that you are in another course at that time.
In order to make sure your schedule is not canceled prior to start of the Fall 2009 semester, you must:
After Friday, August 21, 2009, check CampusConnect to make sure your schedule was not canceled.
